The fridge also has plenty of storage space for your leftovers and groceries. The model comes with an ice maker that makes fresh, filtered ice automatically. It's also simple to use. LG Counter Depth French Door Refrigerator

LG counter-depth fridges are compact and provide plenty of space. Counter-depth refrigerators are more affordable than standard-depth French-door fridges, and they can remove the requirement for an under-counter freezer. The LG Smart Mirror InstaView counter-depth refrigerator (LMWC23626S) is no exception and offers the capacity of a standard fridge, but in a sleek, modern design, with an integrated dispenser for easy access to water that is filtered.

This model's exterior showcases a fingerprint-resistant stainless steel finish and a mirrored InstaView panel that adds to the modern look of the interior. The door bins are spacious, and the top right shelf can be folded down to form a half-depth shelves that permit taller items to fit. A set of crisper drawers is at the bottom of the refrigerator and the full-width deli drawer can be used for meat or produce.

A recessible ice maker is located on the back of the refrigerator. It reduces space and makes it easier to store an additional bag of ice. The refrigerator is equipped with a door-cooling system that makes use of vents in the doors of the fridge and freezer to bring cold air into the refrigerator. It prevents hot spots and ensures an even temperature throughout the refrigerator.

This LG refrigerator was a standout in our tests and offers plenty of space to feed a family however, it has some quirks that we found to be annoying. The drawers for the freezer aren't as cold as we'd like.  french door refrigerator freezer  of the middle drawer climbed to 41° during our maximum use test, which is enough to freeze ice cream and other frozen food items. The temperature in the rest of your freezer was at about 36 degrees.

The refrigerator doors also have sunken handles that make it difficult for those with smaller hands to close. This may seem insignificant but we prefer front-mounted handles on refrigerators, which make them easier to open and close.

The fridge is expensive, but it's worth the money for anyone looking to have an ultra-modern appearance in their kitchen. We recommend this refrigerator for those who want to upgrade their refrigerator, or for those who are building a brand new home and want to have a seamless design in the kitchen.

Samsung Counter Depth French Door Refrigerator

Samsung's newest counter-depth French door fridge, the RF23M8090SG, is priced at $4200. It's a good-looking model that boasts useful features like an autofill water pitcher and a temperature-adjustable "FlexZone" drawer. It also does well in our cooling tests, although we're not fans of its plastic handles and the bins with a crisper design appear a bit fragile.

One thing that sets the RF23M8090SG apart is its Bespoke line, which lets you customize your fridge using removable color panels that can be swapped when you're tired of the ones you have currently. There are 11 different color options that range from pastels to more vibrant shades. There are also four metallic finishes. Some of the panels can be customized by adding photos or text which makes the fridge a more personal touch point that will match your tie-dye Crocs, Rick Owens dress or Andy Warhol banana neon sign.

You can even change the color of the refrigerator's LED lighting, which is a nice touch. The interior of the fridge is finished with a sophisticated finish which reduces smudges, and makes cleaning a breeze. The RF23M8090SG's only real knocks are its slightly congested beverage center and an incline to learn curve in opening the door-in-door feature that houses a water pitcher as well as dispenser. You must look for the lever located on the underside halfway down the door. Once you have it, the second door opens up inside the fridge, housing the docking station for the pitcher as well as the water dispenser.

The 6.8 cubic-foot freezer compartment is big enough to hold a lot of frozen foods, and it features an impressive slide-out drawer system that allows you to get the food item you're looking for without opening the whole compartment. The freezer also has an open-air compartment that can be used to store small items as well as a large capacity drawer for storage to store larger quantities of frozen food. This drawer can be locked with an access code to keep out unwanted guests and has an attractive LED light to allow you to see the contents at glance. The freezer can also keep track of energy usage and help you lower your power bills by with the SmartThings Energy Mode.

Frigidaire Counter Depth French Door Refrigerator

French door refrigerators add a clean design to any kitchen, and they are suitable for different sizes of rooms. If you're looking for the convenience of this design without the additional height, a counter-depth fridge is the best option. We've tested many of them, and this Frigidaire model has earned a high score in our rating system for its reasonable price and thoughtful features, such as an adjustable temperature drawer.

But it also has a few minor issues. Our test data shows that the FGHB2866PF gets warm quite a bit in the freezer, and it can get uncomfortably warm on the refrigerator's outermost shelves. Our heat maps show how the temperature changes minute by minute. The orange region in the upper right corner, which is the butter bin, is particularly warm for most of our time of testing. That might not seem so bad at first glance, but it means the fridge spends a good part of the time at 33 degrees.

It's worth mentioning that this model isn't Energy Star certified, which could be a major consideration for certain buyers. The main issue is that the fridge isn't a great choice. It's lacking advanced features and is made of a slender, flimsy material which makes it difficult to recommend it over better alternatives at this price.

In many ways, the Frigidaire looks and feels like the stainless steel version of a fridge that you might see in the local appliance store. It's a safe choice with a smooth finish that looks great and is resistant to scratches, but it doesn't do much to distinguish itself from competitors that are more feature-rich and more affordable.

Still, if you're shopping for a low-cost counter-depth French door refrigerator but don't have the budget to splurge on our best selections and the FGHC2331PF is worth looking into. It's got enough storage to meet the needs of the majority of families and does a good job keeping food fresh. Even even if it's not an energy efficient unit, it's still a lot cheaper than our top-rated models.
